If you are employed with State/ Central Government Organisation/ PSUs/ JSUs/ Educational Institutions, with a minimum uninterrupted service of 1 year, then the FOIR should be 60% of the GMI. In other cases where the GMI is up to Rs. 75,000, the FOIR stipulated is 40% of the GMI, where the GMI is above Rs. 75,000 and up to Rs. 2 Lakhs, the FOIR should be 50% of the GMI and where the GMI is above Rs. 2 Lakhs, the FOIR stipulated is 60% of the GMI.
