  • Every applicant must have a CIBIL score of over 750 to apply for a credit card from the bank.

Factors that Can Affect ICICI Bank Credit Card Eligibility

  • Age: Age is a vital factor that decides whether you are eligible for an ICICI credit card. The ICICI Bank requires you to be at least 21 years of age in order to be able to own a credit card. The maximum age limit for owning an ICICI credit card is 65 years.
  • Nationality: The ICICI bank requires you to be a citizen of India in order to be able to own their credit card. Not only that, the facility of credit cards is only accessible for individuals who are resident Indians. This means that Indians, who live outside the country or the Non-resident Indians, are not eligible for these credit cards.
  • Income: The income of an individual goes a long way to influence their eligibility for a particular ICICI credit card. Many ICICI Bank credit cards have a minimum income criterion that needs to be fulfilled to be able to be eligible for the card. Apart from that, the salary or gross income of a person defines their credit limit. For people with low salary the credit limit is much lower than the people with bigger salary. Therefore, if you are thinking of claiming a particular ICICI credit card, you have to check out its minimum salary criterion of that particular card in order to find out whether you are eligible for it or not.
  • Employment: The ICICI credit cards are available for both salaried as well as self-employed individuals. However, the salaried and the self-employed individuals have different eligibility criteria. If you want to claim a credit card from the ICICI Bank, ensure that you are employed and have a fixed source of income, either monthly or annually. If your income is lower than the specified criterion for a card, you cannot be eligible for that card.
  • Credit score: Credit score is based on the documentation of your previous credit files and it defines your worthiness as a credit card user. A good credit score is a crucial factor in the eligibility criteria of a credit card. A credit score is based on your promptness and punctuality regarding the payments of your due bills. A high credit score means that you are a responsible spender and can manage your payments on time. A good credit score also improves your reliability. Hence, building a good credit score can greatly influence your eligibility for a particular ICICI credit card.
  • Rapport with the bank: Last but not the least, your experience and rapport shared with the ICICI Bank play a huge role in determining whether you are eligible for a credit card. Quite a few of the credit cards offered by the ICICI Bank are for only a selected few clients. This means that if you have a good working rapport with the bank, you might be eligible for certain credit cards that the others cannot access.
