LIC credit cards are being offered under partnership of LIC Cards Services Ltd and Axis Bank Ltd. LIC credit cards allow its users to pay LIC premiums and earn lucrative rewards. Among other benefits, LIC India credit cards are loaded with features including complimentary access to airport lounges, rewards on fuel spends, travel and accelerated rewards on various other listed categories. Types of LIC Credit Cards

At the moment, LIC Cards Services Ltd offers three credit cards for its existing customers. LIC Platinum credit card, LIC Visa Signature credit card and LIC Titanium credit card are the three different credit cards on offer. These three credit cards are designed to cater various requirements of customers.

One focuses on rewards & accelerated benefits on spending on select categories, while the other is bundled with premium lifestyle benefits of free visits to airport lounges, insurance cover, maximum rewards on LIC insurance premium payments.

Features & Benefits of LIC Credit Card

LIC Titanium Credit Card

  • LIC Titanium credit card comes with PlusPoints Rewards program under which every Rs 100 spent on LIC insurance premium payments, as well as foreign currency transactions fetches you 2 reward points. 
  • For other transactions, LIC Titanium credit card offers 1 reward point for every Rs 100 spent. This remains exclusive of wallet top-ups, fuel payments and EMI transactions. 
  • LIC Cards Services also provides a complimentary lost credit card liability insurance cover in case the credit card is lost, misplaced or stolen. The insurance cover on credit cards is up to a value of Rs 50,000, or the existing credit limit.
  • Titanium credit card has the facility of 1% fuel surcharge waiver at all fuel pumps across India. The benefit of fuel surcharge waiver is applicable for all transactions between Rs 400 and Rs 4,000 with the maximum surcharge waiver capped at Rs 400 per month. 

LIC Platinum Credit Card

  • LIC Platinum credit card also comes packed with PlusPoints Rewards program under which every Rs 100 spent on LIC insurance premium payments, as well as foreign currency transactions fetches you 2 reward points. 
  • For other transactions, LIC Platinum credit card offers 1 reward point for every Rs 100 spent. This remains exclusive of wallet top-ups, fuel payments and EMI transactions. 
  • LIC Cards Services also provides a complimentary lost credit card liability insurance cover in case the credit card is lost, misplaced or stolen. The insurance cover on credit cards is up to a value of Rs 50,000, or the existing credit limit. 
  • Platinum credit card has the facility of 1% fuel surcharge waiver at all fuel pumps across India. The benefit of fuel surcharge waiver is applicable for all transactions between Rs 400 and Rs 4,000 with the maximum surcharge waiver capped at Rs 400 per month. 

LIC Visa Signature Credit Card

  • The PlusPoints Rewards program also covers LIC Visa Signature credit card through which every Rs 100 spent on LIC insurance premium payments, as well as foreign currency transactions fetches you 2 reward points. 
  • For other transactions, LIC Visa Signature credit card offers 1 reward point for every Rs 100 spent. This remains exclusive of wallet top-ups, fuel payments and EMI transactions. 
  • Visa Signature credit card customers can also enjoy complimentary visits to domestic airport lounges within India with an upper limit of 2 lounge visits in a calendar quarter. 
  • LIC Cards Services also provides a complimentary lost credit card liability insurance cover in case the credit card is lost, misplaced or stolen. The insurance cover on credit cards is up to a value of Rs 5 lakh or, the existing credit limit. 
  • Platinum credit card has the facility of 1% fuel surcharge waiver at all fuel pumps across India. The benefit of fuel surcharge waiver is applicable for all transactions between Rs 400 and Rs 4,000 with the maximum surcharge waiver capped at Rs 400 per month. 
  • From 13 July 2013 onwards, LIC Cards Services has introduced a purchase protection cover on Visa Signature Credit Card.

LIC Credit Card Eligibility Criteria

Other than the minimum income requirement and CIBIL score, LIC has two primary eligibility conditions for issuing credit cards in India. 

  1. The age of the applicant should be between 18 and 70 years. 
  2. The individual should be a resident of India or a non-resident of India (NRI).

Documents Required for LIC Credit Card

LIC requires a handful of documents for issuing credit cards. The list of documents include a passport size colour photograph, a copy of PAN card or Form 60, any valid document for proof of address, a document showcasing proof of identity and a document that validates the income. 

LIC credit card: List of documents

  1. PAN card or Form 60
  2. Passport size colour photograph
  3. Proof of Income: An applicant can furnish any document including the latest salary slip, or bank statement, or Form 16, or a copy of ITR as income proof. 
  4. Proof of Residence: Address can be validated through a passport, a driving licence, a voter ID card, or an Aadhar card. 
  5. ID Proof: For verification of identity, an applicant can submit a copy of a passport, a driving licence, a voter ID card, or an Aadhaar card. 

The aforementioned list of documents remains indicative only as the requirement of documents may vary from case to case.

How to Apply for an LIC Credit Card?

LIC credit cards can be applied through offline, as well as online windows.

LIC Credit Card: Offline Application

Applicants who wish to apply for a LIC India credit card physically can visit LIC branch and submit the application form, along with the requisite documents as prescribed by the LIC official.

LIC Credit Card: Online Application

Alternatively, you can visit the LIC website to apply for the desired LIC credit card through online application form. Before applying, you can check the minimum income requirements for various LIC India credit cards and prepare necessary documents that are required to be submitted.

Check LIC Credit Card Application Status

After successful submission of LIC credit card application, you can check the status of your LIC credit card through two methods including the customer care support provided by LIC Cards Services or by visiting the LIC branch office.

In order to check LIC credit card application status through customer care support, you can call the toll-free number 1800 22 6606, quote the application reference number, or your mobile number with date of birth to get the latest status of LIC credit card application.

The latest status of LIC credit card can be accessed through the LIC branch by quoting the appliacation reference number or any other details sought by the LIC official.

LIC Credit Card Bill Payment

LIC credit card bills can be paid through online and offline modes. As far as online methods are concerned, you can repay LIC credit card dues on or before the credit card bill payment due date through LIC Cards Services website, Axis Bank net banking or mobile banking facilities, direct payment from other bank accounts, NEFT and Visa Direct.

In order to clear the LIC credit card bill through offline mode, you can either pay via cash at LIC branch office or Axis Bank branch. Alternatively, you can pay through a cheque/demand draft by choosing the amount you would like to pay. Draw a cheque/draft in favour of <16-Digit LIC Credit Card Number>. 

While paying the LIC credit card bill through a cheque, you have to make sure that the cheque is dropped at least four days before the credit card bill payment due date and the same is drawn on a local bank.

LIC credit card monthly statements are sent via email at the registered email address provided at the time of application. In order to fetch previous credit card statements, you can either access through Axis Bank net banking or Axis Bank mobile banking facilities.

As a new LIC credit card member, you can register yourself at the customer portal of www.licindia.in and choose a unique user ID & password. The login facility will remain available at LIC Cards Services website at https://kdms.in/axislic/login.aspx and Axis Bank net & mobile banking portals.

You can pay your LIC premiums through LIC credit cards before the due date or you can place a standing instruction for the same.

The CIBIL score of 750 is considered good for credit cards. Customers with CIBIL scores of 700 and 650 can also get a LIC credit card, provided they have an undisturbed repayment history, low debt obligations and a stable source of income.
