However, to use this channel, they must have a savings/current account with the issuing institution. If your credit card and bank account are from the same provider, you can call their customer care number to pay your credit card bill.

Mostly, there will be an IVR that would guide you regarding the credit card settlement process or payment process without any human intervention to ensure data safety. However, not every credit card issuer will provide this facility. Hence, it is advisable to check with your respective credit card provider before making the payment using this facility.

Credit Card Bill Payment through the ATM

Just visit any nearest ATM of the credit card issuer, insert your debit card into the ATM machine, select the credit card bill payment option, and follow the instructions to pay credit card dues. Usually, paying bills through ATM is instant.

Credit Card Bill Payment at the Bank Branch Office

If your card issuer is a bank having a physical office, you can just visit the nearest branch to make your credit card bill payment through cash deposit. Just go to the respective bank branch, fill up the deposit slip by mentioning your credit card details, and submit it at the counter. Through this method, the credit card payment will be processed within one working day. This payment method usually involves a convenience charge of up to Rs.100 per payment.

Credit Card Bill Payment through a Cheque/DD

You can also draw a cheque/ demand draft (DD) in favour of your credit card account and give it at any bank branch or drop it at the ATM drop box for offline credit card payment. Don’t forget to mention your name and contact number on the back side of the cheque or draft.

If your card issuer and cheque issuing bank are the same, the cheque may be processed within 3 working days, and if they are different, it might take 5 working days. For outstation cheques, the clearance time can be 12 to 21 working days. To pay your bill on time, make sure you pay your bill in advance through these methods.
