Factors Affecting Credit Card Eligibility

  • Importance of credit card report: If the representatives of a bank have found out that if you defaulted any of your loans, you would not be eligible to get a credit card. The delinquency present in your credit card report implies your inability to handle money.
  • The ratio existing between income and debt: The controlled debt ratio would improve the applicant's chances to get approval on a credit card because it implies a person has sufficient resources to make payment of the dues.
  • CIBIL score: The applicant's CIBIL score would be evaluated to know if a person can be eligible to get a credit card or not. If an applicant is too young and does not have any credit history, it can be difficult to know if this person is an accountable borrower or not. If your CIBIL score is low, it can lower your chances of getting a credit card.
  • The presence of multiple applications: If an applicant is applying for more than one credit card or he or she has numerous enquiries for a credit card, he may not get RBL credit card.
  • Income: You have to meet the eligibility criteria in case of income that are set on distinct credit cards of a wide range of banks. The minimum salary required to avail for a credit card vary from one bank to another.
