UAN Member e-Sewa Portal
UAN members have to activate their UAN or Universal Account Number to register at UAN Member e Sewa Portal. This can be done by logging in to the EPFO e-Sewa Portal with the steps mentioned below:
- Visit the EPFO Member Portal and click on the Activate UAN tab under the Important Links section.
- Enter the required details like Member ID, Aadhaar, PAN, Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Email ID, and Captcha code, and then click on Get Authorization PIN.
- Enter the PIN sent to your mobile number in the given space to activate your UAN.
- Now, a system-generated password will be sent through SMS. You can change this password after you opt for EPFO member login.
How to Check My UAN Status
A UAN or EPF member can check their UAN status with the steps mentioned below:
- On the UAN login page, log in to the UAN portal and click on the Know Your UAN Status button.
- Now enter your PF number, Member ID, and PAN/ Aadhaar.
- Then, enter the other required details like your date of birth, name, contact details, and the Captcha code.
- Next, click on Get Authorization PIN.
- Enter the OTP received on your mobile number and click on the Validate OTP and get UAN button.
- Now, you will receive a UAN number on your phone.
Member e-SEWA Portal Login Process
Below is the stepwise process to login to the EPF member portal or UAN Member e-Sewa Portal:
- Visit the EPFO e sewa portal.
- Enter your UAN number and reset the password by hitting the Forgot Password button in the login section.
- Once you change the password, now you will need to enter your UAN number, revised password, Captcha code.
- Now, click on the Sign in button for UAN account login on the portal.

UAN Member e-Sewa Portal Services
The UAN Member e-Sewa Portal offers the following comprehensive services related to the EPF account:
View:
You can view the following 4 types of information related to your EPF account on the portal:
- Profile: The complete EPF profile of the member is available on the portal and can be seen under the ‘View’ tab. Clicking on the ‘Profile’ will show your profile page containing the following information:
- UAN
- Name
- Gender
- Date of Birth
- Father’s/Husband’s Name
- Mobile Number
- Email ID
- Qualification
- Whether you are an international worker
- Marital Status
- Differently abled or not
You can only edit the mobile number and email ID out of the above information.
- Service History: You are allotted only one UAN in your lifetime regardless of the number of companies you change. Although the UAN remains the same for all your jobs, every employer has to create a new PF account under the same UAN. You can view the following information for all organizations under the “Service Details” section:
- Member ID
- Member’s Name
- Name of the Establishment
- Date of Joining EPF, EPS & FPS
- Date of Ending EPF, EPS & FPS
- UAN Card: You can also view UAN Card from the UAN login portal under the ‘View’ menu. This card can be downloaded and presented at the EPF office at the time of offline withdrawal or transfer.
- EPF Passbook: Passbook option is also available under the ‘View’ menu. However, this option is available on www.epfindia.gov.in. You have to select the ‘For Employees’ option under the ‘Services’ menu, click on ‘Member Passbook’ and enter the UAN and Password (same as e-Sewa Portal). Then click on the Member ID to access the passbook.
Manage:
You can also manage and modify some details on your own on the portal.
- Email ID & Mobile Number Registration: Through the portal, you can manage your contact details. You will receive an authorization pin to the new number for changing the contact number. Your mobile number will be updated instantly once you fill the pin in the space provided. Similarly, you can also update a new email ID on the UAN Member Portal.
- KYC: An EPF member can also update other KYC details like Bank Account, PAN, Aadhaar, and Passport. KYC details are verified with the concerned authorities before getting updated against the member’s UAN. {Link aadhar to mobile number}
Online Services:
You can avail various online services through the portal, such as:
- Claim (Form 31, 19 and 10C): the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), w.e.f February 2017, has introduced the new composite claim forms for claiming full or partial withdrawal of PF. The claim section includes three forms, i.e. Form 31, 19 and 10C. However, Aadhaar must be linked to UAN for claiming full/partial withdrawal through Composite Claim Form.
- Transfer: You can also request for transferring your PF amount from the previous account into the current one. However, before applying for a PF transfer, make sure that your KYC details on the website are correct, your previous & current bank account details and IFSC code are seeded into the UAN database, and KYC details are seeded against the UAN. You can claim only one transfer request on the previous PF account.
Track EPF Claim Status:
You can also track your EPF claim status on the UAN Portal. The status can be checked under the ‘Track Claim Status’ section if you have requested for a claim. There is no need to enter any acknowledgment or PF account number.

You can have more than one UAN in two situations:
- You do not disclose your existing UAN to the new employer, and the new employer issues a fresh UAN.
- If your previous employer does not carry out the compliance in time.
Yes. linking your EPF account with your UAN or Aadhaar is mandatory to file any claim for EPF withdrawal online.

- Now, enter your UAN along with the captcha code.
- Enter the OTP that you receive on your registered mobile number.
- Click on the Submit button.
- Enter your newly reset password for EPFO UAN login.
Yes, EPFO members can easily register on the e-Sewa portal and view information related to the UAN, past and current employer details, personal details, member ID, and UAN card. The portal lets you know your UAN instantly.
You can update your details (like mobile number, email ID, etc.) at UAN employee portal with the following steps:
- Visit and login to the unified member portal or UAN portal.
- Under the Manage tab on the UAN member home portal, click on the Change Contact Information tab.
- Enter the Authorization PIN sent to your registered mobile number in the space provided to update your information.
