IRCTC SBI RuPay Credit Card: A New Contactless Railway Travel Buddy
Good News for Frequent Railway Travellers. SBI Cards and IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd) have launched a new contact less Credit Card on RuPay payment platform.
The card comes packed with a host of benefits and offers for cardholders travelling with Indian Railways. The customers can save maximum on travel, retail, dining, entertainment and shopping online.
The cardholder of IRCTC SBI Credit Card will receive up to 10 percent value back on bookings for AC1, AC2, AC3, AC CC, made online through IRCTC website. The customers will also enjoy 1 percent transaction fee waiver and 350 Bonus Reward Points on the activation of the credit card.

Accumulated reward points can be redeemed to collect free tickets on IRCTC website.
With Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, car holders can use the card for making contact less transactions. By simply tapping the card at a secure reader, a fast and secure transaction can be completed.
Rajnish Kumar, Chairman, State Bank of India IRCTC SBI Card said, with the launch of this new IRCTC and SBI Co branded Credit Card on the indigenous RuPay network, the SBI Cards looks forward to cater to a wider audience. The other SBI IRCTC flagship card that was launched in 2006, is one of the best performing travel cards from SBI Card.

Furthermore M P Mall, Chairman and Managing Director, IRCTC revealed that 72 percent of the reserved train ticket bookings business in India are serviced through IRCTC travel. With the launch of this new Co-Branded Credit Card the Loyalty programme will be extended on RuPay Platform as well.
