EPF Claim Status

Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) is a scheme under the Employees’ Provident Funds & Miscellaneous Act, 1952. Under this scheme, the employee and employer contribute 12% each of the employee’s basic salary as well as dearness allowance towards EPF. At present, the interest rate on EPF deposits is 8.50% p.a.

Employees can check EPF status of the claim after applying for EPF withdrawal of their funds. The EPF amount withdrawal is simple since the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) launched the Universal Account Number (UAN). The EPF claim status check and withdrawal process can be done online. However, it is mandatory for employees to activate their UAN to claim the EPF amount online. The activation process can be completed online on the EPFO portal.
