Welcoming Centre’s big bang MSME restoration plan involving Rs 3 lakh crore credit guarantee for micro, small & medium enterprises (MSME), the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh has announced commencement of Online Loan Mela 2020 for the state’s MSMEs from May 14 to May 20, 2020.
Owing to restrictions imposed on movement due to COVID lockdown, the week-long LOAN FAIR will be held online from 14 May to 20 May. The The state is eying to disburse Rs 1,600-2,000 crore of loans to around 36,000 businesses classified as MSMEs through LOAN MELA.

The UP government had already issued detailed instructions for participation in the loan Mela by the micro, small and medium enterprises. All the loan application will be accepted through state’s MSME portal.

The government has also said that more than 20,000 applications for the MSME loans were received before the lockdown. As the process is online now, the processing of loans will be fast. The loans will be disbursed through participating banks.
Loan Mela will ease of liquidity crunch caused to the state’s millions MSME units which are distressed due to financial disruptions caused amidst the spread of COVID 19 pandemic. This will save employment opportunities during these difficult times. Many foreign investors are also willing to invest in MSME sector in UP.
The CM Yogi Adityanath gave a simple Mathematical calculation to share the benefit of supporting the MSMEs amidst the difficult times of covid lockdown. The CM said UP has a total of 90 lakh registered and unregistered MSME units and if only 1 employment opportunity is created there will be 90 lakh more jobs in the state. Thus State’s flagship scheme of ‘One District, One Product’ will be promoted, for instance leather in Kanpur and Banarasi silk in Varanasi.

Here are the steps: 1) Visit the official UP MSME’s website: www.upmsme.in. 2) On the homepage, you will see a link to apply for UP MSME loan. Click the link. 3) Now you will see an online loan application form for MSME Loan. 4) Fill the details: name, address, mobile number, Aadhar card number etc and apply. 5) You should keep a print/copy of form for future reference.
