Extending personalised service for farmers, largest private sector bank HDFC Bank has launched a special app called as “e-Kisaan Dhan app” for farmers across India. The farmers can access a host of agricultural and banking services through this app on their smart phones.
Amid current times, when social distancing and lockdown are placed, the introduction of farmer friendly app will ensure convenient access to essential banking services.
The bank’s press statement said: “The app will provide value-added services such as mandi prices, latest farming news, weather forecast, information on seed varieties, SMS advisory, e-pashuhaat, Kisan TV, and more.”
Besides all these services, the farmers can also use the app for other banking services like apply for a loan, opening of a bank account, buying insurance, assessing Kisan Credit Card (KCC) loan eligibility, and applying for various government aided social security schemes for farmers.
In all, this is a commendable step. The farmers can access a range of products and services across pan India without any hassle.
